Three angles. One consultant.

Most consultants come from one world. A startup. A big agency. A corporate boardroom. Jonathan Williams has lived in all three — and that’s exactly what makes him different.

The Founder.

Jonathan started Failure:Lab in Grand Rapids — a storytelling event built around the idea that failure is the best teacher. He’s launched companies, built teams from scratch, made payroll, missed payroll, and figured out how to survive. He knows what it’s like to be the person in the arena.

The Agency.

Jonathan spent years in the agency world — building brands, running campaigns, and managing the kind of complexity that comes with juggling multiple clients, budgets, and deliverables at once. He knows how to build strategy that’s actually executable, not just pretty on a slide deck.

The Corporate.

Before going independent, Jonathan sat in the VP chair — including VP of Marketing at Celebration Cinema. He’s navigated enterprise software, managed teams, sat in budget meetings, and delivered results at scale. He knows what corporate actually needs — and how to make outside expertise land inside big organizations.
